I was born in South Africa, where I was baptized and confirmed in the Anglican Church. I attended an Anglican high school from which I graduated. After my father passed away, my mother remarried to an Anglican priest, and my stepfather served as Rector at three different parishes. After I graduated from university, I joined GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) as a pharmaceutical engineer and was transferred to the Triangle in 1998. I worked for GSK for 33 years and retired as Head of Global Technical, External Supply four years ago.
Michelle, my wife, and I have been married for 42 years and have two sons and 3 grandchildren.
We joined the Church of the Nativity three years ago and feel blessed to be here.
