Nativity is partnering with local congregations to sponsor a Guns to Gardens Safe Surrender event on Saturday, June 13, at Umstead Park United Church of Christ.
Individuals can anonymously surrender unwanted firearms at no cost.
Weapons are safely disabled on-site and later repurposed into garden tools.
This effort responds to concerns raised by our youth.
Volunteers are needed before, during, and after the event for setup, greeting, assisting participants, and cleanup. (Event-day volunteers must be 18 or older.)
