One of Church of the Nativity’s ministries is working at the Inter-Faith Food Shuttle once a month. We gather in the warehouse and pack approximately 100 bags with a menu established by the staff of the Food Shuttle. We then deliver the bags to three sites by going door to door in a senior living facility. The residents are very appreciative of the food and the deliverer—we always get many smiles and thank yous. We need 7–8 workers on the first Thursday of each month. We start at 11:30 am and the service involves approximately three hours of your time all-in-all. The Inter-Faith Food Shuttle is located at 1001 Blair Drive Suite 120 Raleigh, NC 27603.
Teenagers, seniors, and anyone who who is able to take a three-hour lunch are invited to join this activity. Please email our coordinator, Larry Wilson, at wilson23875@aol.com to sign up. He will send you a reminder before the activity. Please consider being a part of this ministry; you may not have the open time every month but each month you can helps tremendously.
