Friends & Family Dat

In January, the 2025 Vestry met to do some team building and strategic brainstorming for the direction of The Church of the Nativity. One of the items we identified was a desire to provide more opportunities for our parish community to connect with and support our surrounding community in a more personal and hands-on way.

If you were present for Grey’s sermon on January 26  (and, if you weren’t, you should watch it) Grey emphasized ways we are all connected within the body of Christ. One of the ways the Vestry would like to help our parish connect with the community and celebrate everyone is to hold a Family and Friends Day this spring.

We want to create an event that anchors Nativity within our geographic community. Our vision is to develop an event we can all invite our family and friends to attend with activities, food, community market and support services! Think: Bounce house, live music, food truck, local vendors, community services, etc! The sky is the limit – but we won’t be able to make this happen without the support of the parish.

This is where you come in: We need volunteers! Currently, we’re looking for volunteers to sit on sub-committees (logistics, marketing, food and entertainment) and help plan, coordinate, and bring this vision to life.

You can sign up here to be a volunteer. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Hannah Harris, David Dykes or Morghan Bosch
