Justice for All God’s Creation

But let justice roll down like waters and righteousness like an ever-flowing stream (Amos 5:24).

He has shown you, O mortal, what is good.   And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy  and to walk humbly with your God. (Micah 6:8). Do your little of bit of good where you are; it’s these little bits of good put together that overwhelm the world (Archbishop Desmond Tutu).

I am writing this blog to inform you of the timely publication of a book entitled Justice for all Creation by Gary Simpson. As stated in the book’s introduction, “The essays within this volume seek to affirm and echo that age-old prophetic truth – The message of God’s Prophets proclaims that injustice (inequity) is inherently self-destructive. Only justice breeds new life. These essaysoriginally appeared as posts in the Creation Justice blog at the Pittsboro Presbyterian Church. It was the author’s hope that the essays may be “informative, evocative and inspirational” as they chronicle and confront the contemporary issues of injustice and reveal both champs and chums in the arena of creation justice.

A copy of this book has been added to the Peace Library.
