Fall has arrived which means planning for this year’s Week/Day of Giving has begun. Week/Day of Giving is an annual event at our church during which parishioners can learn about some of the many ministries supported by members of the church and the Outreach Team. It also provides an opportunity for members of the church to contribute to these organizations. This year’s online Week of Giving starts on December 1 and the Day of Giving is Dec. 8. If you are part of a nonprofit organization that you would like to spotlight at this year’s Day of Giving, please contact Lillis Ward for more information. We have space this year for several new ministries to be included.
This year the Day of Giving team will be hosting a specialty table of new hand-made items donated by members of our church. Items might include artwork, woodwork, Christmas items, crochet or knitted items, homemade pies or cakes (or gift certificates for them) and more. Each donor will need to complete the Day of Giving Donor information form for each type of item donated. Donors may choose to which outreach ministry the proceeds from their item(s) will go.
