Stop Hunger Now Packing Event – April 28, 2013

Thank you to everyone who participated! On April 28, the congregation of Church of the Nativity – from toddlers to seniors – packed 10,000 nutritious meals to be sent somewhere in the world to feed hungry people. The packing was organized by Stop Hunger Now, a Raleigh-based international hunger relief agency that has been coordinating the distribution of food and other lifesaving aid to children and families in countries all over the world since 1998. The assembly process combines rice, soy, dehydrated vegetables and a flavoring mix including 21 essential vitamins and minerals into small meal packets. Each meal costs only 25 cents and is distributed to areas in crisis.
